[Product surveys]. 1923-1927.

The first survey, dated Nov. 26, 1923, is of the Victor Dye Works, Philadelphia. In it, boss dyer Matthew McIlhenny outlines savings effected by the replacement of engine driven extractors with Fletcher turbine machines and gives operating costs and data showing improvements. The second, dated Aug. 5, 1926, is of E.F. Houghton & Co., Philadelphia, makers of oils and leathers for industries. Survey describes use of Houghton's absorbed oils at the Lardner's Point Pumping Station of the Philadelphia Water Bureau and the resulting reduced lubricant costs. The third survey, dated Feb. 24, 1927, is of the George E. Kunhardt Corp., Lawrence, Mass., manufacturers of men's suitings and overcoatings; it outlines the savings and improvements resulting from the installation of three Franklin process raw stock dyeing machines built by the Franklin Process Company.
